I purchased this item for the highlighter cap, to add some dimension to my one-tone blonde hair color. It took a really long time to get all the hair through the holes (like 2 hours), and it was very difficult to get my hair through all the holes in the back. I would recommend a buddy to help you out in case your arms get tired, and so you don't have to juggle three mirrors to make sure you got it all. The time consuming part, however, is at no fault of the manufacturer. That is just how these things work. The little hook provided is very handy to get hair through. I did not end up using the gloves or the tinting brush since my box dye already provided gloves, but I did use the nice little cape provided. Although it is disposable, I will use it a few more times I think. The results I got using this cap were great! The spacing between the highlights makes for a very blended, subtle and natural look.
